My interest in making bats is purely a result of my love for the game of baseball. I played competitively through college and I continue to play in local adult baseball leagues. AS both a player and a coach, I recognized the importance of using a quality bat. Due to the numerous advantages of training with wood, it became extremely important for me to find a quality wood bat that I could count
on. Rather than pouring money into a new, over-priced wood bat every couple of months, I decided to research and learn how to make my own quality wood bats. What was once a solution to a problem has now become a passion! WalkOff bats is an extension of my love of the game. We do not over charge for our product, because our goal is to provide other baseball people with quality bats that they can afford to use.
Whether it was spending the weekends practicing and watching baseball with my father, or playing late into a summer evenings with my childhood friends, baseball has always played a central role in my life. The game of baseball has allowed me to travel and compete around the Pacific Northwest, as well as internationally in Canada and Australia. However, a series of shoulder separations and dislocations forced me to stop playing at a high level of competition after high school. Ever since my shoulder surgery, I have constantly been searching for way to get more involved with the game that I love. Crafting wood bats has given me this opportunity that I have been looking for.
