Welcome to Vintage Image Madness!
I began this adventure in August 2006 with a simple goal in mind - that all creative, mixed media and digital artists should have quick access to good content at an affordable and reasonable price.
I have a passion for vintage images - from postcards to labels to advertisements to trade cards to old photos - and I always wanted to use them in my artwork but never quite could bear to cut them up, alter them or destroy in any way the original piece of ephemera. I thought that there must be many other artists in the world with the same view of preserving history while at the same time creating new and exciting works of art that could be shared with family and friends.
I took the big step of wanting to offer the same images to the online world and quickly found that I didn't know the first thing about building a website, managing a newsletter subscription list or maintaining thousands of pieces of paper ephemera. It's been quite a journey and one, I am happy to say, that teaches me something new every day!

Vintage Image Madness is located on the coast in beautiful Portland, Maine. This city and state provides daily inspiration with four distinct seasons and a safe, friendly environment to raise my child and enjoy time with my family.
Portland is Maine's largest city and boasts a uniqueness as not only a major city, but also a gritty, seacoast town. One can walk through downtown Portland, and relish the historic brick buildings, cobblestone streets, and one-of-a-kind boutiques, and then, only steps away, be encompassed by one of the few working waterfronts left in the United States.
