Description

My name is David Brookes and I have been involved in the wine industry for around 15 years in both Australia and New Zealand. In that time I have covered a few bases working anywhere from vineyard to vintage work at wineries to retail(some small, some large) and wholesale and I am currently working at Langtons Wine Auctions, in conjunction with Christies, in Sydney Australia and I’m a contributing writer to Campbell Mattinsons Winefront Monthly.

I am very lucky that I get to try a large number of local and imported wines each year and make numerous visits to wine growing regions, so I will try and share the information I glean along the way with you the reader of my humble blog.

My aim is to provide tasting notes, producer profiles, wine region insider guides, industry news and a few random rants on the wine industry in general. I have grandiose plans to start doing a wine podcast in 2006 also. So I hope you enjoy this blog and I welcome your comments.
