Samuel, of the tribe Haya in Bukoba, is the founder of Victoria Expeditions . This former rastafari has a diverse background. He has studied politics, African history, English, Swahili and business management. Thirteen years ago he was employed as a driver guide for Tanzania's Northern circuit, gaining experience from working with different companies. In 1998 he registered his own company and started organizing tours himself. During the past eight years of operating, he has built up a trusted group of office employees and knowledgeable guides. Samuel is fluent in English and Kiswahili, and can come up with a few phrases in Norwegian. Samuel is also a trustee of the Orphans Foundation Fund.
Ren ate, or Rene as she is often called, is originally from Norway, came to Tanzania as a tourist, went on safari and decided to stay. She has been here for more than five years now. She is the creator of this site, and can be found by the computer in the office, taking care of all correspondence, marketing and designs. Ren ate is the youngest of our crew, and to reduce the male domination in the office, she has trained and employed her sister in laws. Ren ate is fluent in Norwegian , English and Kiswahili , and understands German, Swedish and Danish well.
Kheri is Samuel's cousin, also from the Haya tribe in Bukoba. He is an economist by profession, and has been working for different safari companies in Dar es Salaam as a salesman for 6 years, selling tours to the Southern and Western circuit of Tanzania. He has been our office manager and consultant since 1998. Kheri is fluent in English and Kiswahili.
