About Xtras.Net
Xtras.Net is a company based in Atlanta, Georgia USA founded in March 1994. The company was originally named VBxtras which is the name of its original catalog, but the company name was later changed to Xtras to better reflect expansion into other areas.
Xtras' business centers around Microsoft's developer technology and the 3rd party software market supporting it. The Xtras' catalogs grew out of a need of Microsoft developers to find said 3rd add-on party tools for use with Microsoft Visual Basic. Today Xtras specializes in selling these add-on tools for both Visual Basic 6.0 and Visual Studio .NET via its mail-order catalogs and content-rich websites.
When Microsoft released Visual Studio.NET, Xtras launched the Xtras.Net catalog focused exclusively on the 3rd party add-on tools used by the .NET developer. Xtras is extremely excited about .NET and believes Microsoft have greatly benefited developers worldwide with its release. Xtras intends to be an integral part of the .NET ecosystem by providing a marketplace for buyers and sellers of 3rd party tools for .NET.
