What’s Up With the Name – University of Dreams?
Every adult we have ever described the program to says the same exact thing, “I wish they had that when I was in college!” We named our company University of Dreams because we truly believe that our program will positively change each participant by inspiring, equipping, and challenging them to pursue their dreams. How can an 8 week summer internship program possibly do this? There is only one way to truly find out, and that is by experiencing it. However, if you want to understand how this is possible prior to making the leap of faith, we encourage you to Apply Now so you can access more detailed information about the program, such as how our internship placement process works, housing details, and what we have planned for the weekend excursions. You will also be given the ability to contact alumni directly to ask them about their experience. While the name may seem strange to you now, by the end of the program you will think it is the perfect name for what you have just experienced.
Company History
The University of Dreams team has been running summer programs for college students since 1997. We started out under the name ‘Business Camp’ and originally conducted our program at a five-star resort in Keystone, Colorado. After several successful summers in the mountains, we decided to move our program to major U.S. cities so that we could incorporate internships into the program. In 2001 we hosted our first such program at Santa Clara University under our new name—University of Dreams. We welcomed 73 students from 38 top universities. In 2002, Stanford University invited us to move our program to their campus, and we jumped at the opportunity. Since then, we have added programs in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and London, and have plans to add many more in some of the best cities in the world.
