- Regional Meeting “Towards a Joint Regional Agenda for the Alleviation of Poverty through Agriculture and Secondary Crop Development” is held in UNESCAP, Bangkok, Thailand on 21-22 November 2007. This is a regional meeting of researchers, development practitioners and government officials from ESCAP’s member countries as well as international organizations. The purpose of the meeting is to create a regional agenda of research and development priorities on poverty alleviation through agriculture and to foster greater collaboration and information sharing across UNESCAP member countries on rural poverty alleviation through agriculture and secondary crops.
