Upper Arlington Swim Club

Description

Upper Arlington Swim Club is a community competitive swim club consisting of approximately 250 swimmers and their families, most of whom reside in the City of Upper Arlington, a suburb of Columbus, Ohio. Swimmers range in age from 5 to 20 and in ability from pre-competitive swimmers to swimmers who have achieved national championship time standards. The Club mascot is the Golden Bear.

Upper Arlington Swim Club is sanctioned for competition by USA Swimming, Inc., an organization formed by an Act of Congress to govern amateur swimming competition in the United States. The Club is active over an indoor, 'short-course' season lasting from October to March and an outdoor, 'long-course' season lasting from May to August. The Club trains at the Upper Arlington High School, The Ohio State University, and Northwest Swim Club and competes in USA Swimming sanctioned meets throughout the Columbus area, the State of Ohio, and, for exceptional swimmers, throughout the country.

Upper Arlington Swim Club is a non-profit organization supported through member dues, charitable contributions, donated goods and services, and income from club sponsored swimming meets and sales. Upper Arlington Swim Club is managed by a staff of professional swimming coaches and a Board of Directors consisting of the head coach and twelve Directors elected by the Club membership.
