- TURANT stands for Turkish American Association of Northern Texas. It was founded back in 1975 as a non-profit organization and has been serving the community since then. Our organization’s main goal is to present and share the characteristics of Turkish Culture while continuously seeking to improve the understanding in North Texas. To accomplish this goal, our organization organizes children’s day picnic, monthly happy hour, annual Turkish festival, free traditional Turkish dance lesson, republic day dinner, and other social events.
