Morse Artists study the Art of the Middle Ages—History Comes Alive! Second grade artists studied the art, life and legends of the Middle Ages. We used the tale of George and the Dragon as a theme for our work. Each student created his or her own hand-colored story-telling picture. Students were careful to include a setting and main characters in their work. We even explored three-dimensional art in “Dragon Workshop” where each student sculpted and painted a dragon figurine.
