Trinc, the owner of Trinc-Prolog.com, was founded on the 1st of June 1995. Initially Trinc was founded to develop intelligent business applications that could solve scheduling problems like time-table scheduling and job shop scheduling. For the development of such applications we choose the programming language Prolog.
After the evaluation of several Prolog development tools the people of Trinc decided to develop their own Prolog development environment that would meet their needs and could benefit software developers around the world. In 1997 Trinc named the project Trinc-Prolog, canceled the development of scheduling applications and focused all the resources on the development of Trinc-Prolog. Since then the people of Trinc work very hard to create the most advanced Prolog development environment ever built.
