About Travel by GPS
The purpose of this web site is to provide free recreational GPS data. In addition to waypoints, routes and tracks, you will find photos and articles describing these unique travel adventures. Since 1998, this site has been built on useful and reliable data from GPS enthusiasts around the world. You will also find a wealth of resources for creating your own GPS maps. If you like this web site and have something to offer, I hope that you will become a contributor, and help make Travel by GPS the quintessential web site for recreational GPS and mapping enthusiasts.
I will pay $50 USD for each page of content (scenic drive, off-road adventure, hike, water trail…) submitted to me and approved for publication at www.TravelByGPS.com.
My budget is limited, so I will not be able to accept all submissions. I will give preference to GPS adventures outside the continental USA. But I will consider submissions for adventures inside the continental USA if I think it has mass-appeal and it covers an area where I do not already have data.
