* Can I ship an over-sized vehicle?
Yes! If your vehicle is bigger than any standard car/truck/SUV, it is important that you inform us. This is so we can secure an appropriate mode of transportation. If you're vehicle has any modifications that affect the overall size or weight, mark that down and let the us know ahead of time.
* What is door-to-door service?
Door-to-door service is the way Transport Services operates. Door-to-door means that a truck will come to your house (or another pre-designated location) and pick up your vehicle...right in front of you! Both you and the driver will inspect the vehicle, marking any dings or dents that it may have, plus the mileage and anything else that may be relevant to shipping it. This inspection is to make sure that both you and the driver know what the car looks like when it is loaded onto the truck and for reference if any new damages occur.
Door-to-door service is different than terminal-to-terminal service. With terminal-to-terminal service, you drop your car off at a pre-designated terminal that the auto shipping company owns or rents and you wait for them to pick it up. However, terminal-to-terminal service is not recommended unless you absolutely need it because you never know when your car will be picked up. It can takes weeks for a trucking company to get around to actually picking up your vehicle from a terminal and finally delivering it to their terminal in destination city, where it then waits for you to come get it.

* How far ahead should I schedule my pickup?
Generally, we ask for 1-7 days notice so we can schedule you on the next available truck. Because this industry is route-based, it is often difficult to find a truck to transport your car on short-notice. This is why we also offer an "expidite service."
* Where will my car be picked up?
Transport Services offers door-to-door service, which means we will come to your house and put the car on the truck in front of you. If for some reasons you don’t want you car picked up at your house, we can schedule a different pick up area that you can specify.
* Can I put things in my vehicle?
Yes, as long as it does not exceed 100 pounds. Everything is boxed up and strapped down. You can’t have anything moving around in the car while its on the carrier in route.
* Can I ship my vehicle if it's not running?
We can ship any vehicle, running, or non-running. Sometimes we need to add a surcharge because the driver may need to use a winch to pull the car on to the carrier.
* Can I ship more than one vehicle?

* How long will it take to ship my vehicle?
This industry is route-based, times will vary depending on which route it is, what time of the year it is, and of course the weather. Generally, if you're shipping your vehicle coast-to-coast, it will take 7-10 days. If you going from south to north, it may take 3-4 days. However, if you're coming or going to the Northeast and New England, it may take a bit longer depending on how the weather is looking.
* Will my vehicle be driven?
Typically, your vehicle will only be driven on and off of the truck. You can double-check this by noting the odometer readout on the initial inspection you do at time of pickup, then checking it again during the drop-off inspection. Other than that, though, your car will not be driven. It will stay on the truck until it gets to where you want it to get.
* How do I pay for car transport?
Let us explain the process to you. You would leave us a deposit which will be specified by route. This deposit is going to reserve you a spot onto the carrier, as you would do at a hotel. You will then pay the driver the remaining balance. This can be paid by C.O.D., Cashiers Check, or Money Order. The drivers use this money for hotel expenses, gas, and tolls.
