Transonic Systems Inc. was founded in 1983 by engineer Cor Drost, who as a Sr. Research Associate at the N.Y.S. College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University, invented the now "gold standard" transit-time ultrasound flowmeter. We sell these flowmeters, as well as hemodialysis monitors and laser Doppler perfusion monitors to surgeons, nephrologists, researchers and equipment manufacturers around the world. We have 130+ employees world wide with regional offices in the USA, the Netherlands, Germany, France, and Taiwan.
Transonic Medical Flowmeters are used in medical centers around the world to give immediate, quantitative flow values during cardiac, transplant, peripheral vascular and cerebrovascular surgeries.
