SUPER TOY ARCHIVE

Description

Being born in 1980, I experinced much the great 80's had to offer. I had He-Man, Gobots, She-Ra, Intellivision, Dino Riders, Battle Beasts, Gi-Joes and my favorites, Transformers! I never watched much cartoons, probably was to busy being tourmented by all the kids on my block. I really enjoyed Raggedy Anne and Andy & Noozles and anything funky that was on TV. By just telling you that, you know I'm already messed up as it is. C'mon.. NOOZLES?! I look back now and realize I really did not have to many toys that were store bought. Most were picked up from flea markets that my dad frequently visited. Over time, I kept buying and buying toys at the flea market. Having no clue... but just buying whatever I liked. At times I did sell, and regret I made $2 off that Tounge-A-Saurus I sold at Wheeling Market for $4.. but I was only 8 years old.

I started to collect vintage Star Wars in the late 80's. Buying toys here and there, and finally visiting collectible shows is what brought me upto speed. Finding out POTF and Amanaman existed in the early 90's made me go bonkers. I never knew of it, or found it at my fleamarkets. I then started purchasing packaged pieces and started going for rarities. Slowly my hunger grew. In the mid 90's I branhced out to Transformers, which was not hard since I already owned almost the entire set loose. Then I moved to Thundercats, Gobots, and then wham... before I knew it I was collecting every toy line from the 80's and some 90's lines. The idea is to stay ahead of the market. Get it while it's cheap. Pick up rarities first, then work down.

I started to search for rarities because I loved the challenge, and always knew I can get the easier stuff anyday. I worked on collecting rare Star Wars items, and learned of prototypes. From there on I gathered up a small collection of protos, but started to search for prototypes from other lines. I have moved onto collecting other things, and even movie props since then.
