The Mirror covers the towns of Tonganoxie, Linwood and McLouth, along with Leavenworth County. The newspaper, which was founded in 1882, is published every Wednesday. It is owned by The World Company, which also publishes the Lawrence Journal-World and several other publications in northeast Kansas, Colorado and Arizona. The Mirror was purchased in 1999 from Don and Mary Waterman, who had owned the newspaper since 1991.
