Description
Tom Child was raised in the Hopkins/Minnetonka area and graduated from Hopkins Senior High School in 1964. After graduating, Tom continued his education at Iowa Wesleyan College with a double major in Sociology and Business/Economics. Tom is currently President and Chief Operating Officer of Builders Showcase, Inc. and Flooring Concepts, Inc.
Tom and his wife, Grace, lived in their district from 1978 to 1993 and returned to reside there in 1999. Their district includes Rogers, Dayton, Corcorian, Hanover, Hassan, and the Western portion of Maple Grove. Tom and Grace attend Cross Winds United Methodist Church and have four children. Two of their children are educators, one works in the health care industry, and the other is in business.
