- I was born in Zagreb, Croatia, in 1982. I first took up photography as a hobby at the age of 13. Being introduced to it by my father, I started out with his SLR cameras and shooting on colour slides. My first fascination was with the way photography can make ordinary things look special, and I took hundreds of photos never going past the border of our garden. (Some of those early photos are still on this site - look for "flora", “still life” and "wineglass" galleries.)
