The distinct difference between the media and the entertainment industry, prevalent till then, started to blur. With an established numero uno tag in publishing, The Times Group felt the need to diversify into other associated sectors. The organization set out on its path to metamorphose into an integrated media and entertainment firm. As part of the initiative, the company made its foray into spaces of radio, internet, multimedia and music. That was the genesis of Times Music, the music production, promotion and distribution arm of The Times Group.
