The original concept of Timelinx was developed in 1995 by a team of programmers, graduates of Chalmers University in Sweden, and professionals from within the vacation ownership industry. The object was to create an internet-based international exchange company, which would offer a flexible, customer driven alternative for owners wishing to exchange, rent or advertise units for sale.
Following several years of experiencing difficulties and having made a quite dubious start, at the end of 1999 the present management acquired Timelinx S.L. in Spain, they immediately re-capitalised the company to raise it to an S.A. registry and became exclusive independent marketing agents for the Internet exchange system that had been conceived in Sweden.
Timelinx S.A used its experience and considerable skills to further develop the infra-structure, marketing materials, marketing techniques, associated companies, staff induction, training and the technology used within the system to produce not just a concept company with an internet site but a real customer orientated service company in the real world.
