Description
The Thailand Incentive and Convention Association (TICA) is a non-profit organisation established in 1984 jointly by the government (the Tourism Authority of Thailand and Thai Airways International Plc) and the private sector. TICA's function is to aid the growth of Thailand as a preferred destination for meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions.
TICA members in the private sector include hotels, tour operators, professional convention and exhibition organisers and contractors, convention centres, advertising agencies, local attractions, entertainment establishments and various travel industry suppliers. They are all dedicated to providing the best services to incentive and exhibition organisers and meeting planners holding their events in Thailand.
Members of the various categories in TICA select their representatives to the TICA Board of Directors, which holds office for a two-year term. The Board of Directors appoint leaders of five working committees which are responsible for the various TICA activities. The five committees are: Incentive Committee, Convention Committee, Exhibition Committee, Marketing Support Committee, and Membership Committee.
