Mike Karma, the driving force behind TIBETALIA.COM, spent ten years of his life in the Himalayas, and another five years in Japan. Having returned to Brighton, UK, he envisaged Tibetalia as an online venue serving as a bridging point between Europe and Tibet (and other territories and countries in its proximity).
Although for the time being TIBETALIA is primarily concerned with such aspects of these two regions' interaction as Trade and Arts, the long-term intention is to expand into a large, comprehensive directory which shall subsume the existing as well as many new categories such as Culture, Linguistics, Spirituality, Travel, Arts&Crafts, Ecology, Medicine, and more, in order to provide for the needs of those exploring the intricacies of the Himalayan world.
