- THSTI aims to evolve into a world class research institute at the frontier of translational biomedical sciences. The goal is to populate the cluster with faculty who are leaders in their domains, which will range from computational sciences to nanotechnology, from basic biology to molecular medicine, from chemistry to drug development and engineering to medicine. In other words, THSTI aims to create an ecosystem that facilitates high quality interdisciplinary research towards finding innovative solutions towards healthcare challenges at a global level. The institute will interact closely with sister institutes and centers within the cluster, and will be involved in mentoring students to produce scientific leadership and innovators of tomorrow. The institute will actively develop collaborations with centers of excellence within India and globally.
