Description
The Model Makers Resource traces its origins to the tail end of the year 2000 when, with something in the order of 30 years model making experience under his belt, Andy Slater decided to begin collating the various pieces of information that he'd gathered together in that time, into an online resource. The first few pages were uploaded to the web early in 2001 but already the idea of creating a shop in addition to an informational resource had begun to form. As he worked through the various pieces of information that he'd collected, turning them into HTML, an old source of irritation returned, namely that of repeatedly seeing references to products that were 'hard to find' especially outside of the USA. Andy decided that at the same time as compiling the information, he would attempt to gather together all of those 'hard to find items' into a single location for the benefit of UK model makers. Thus The Model Makers Resource was born.
