Title

The Linda Lee Bed and Breakfast Inn

Description

The Linda Lee is one of the cottages developed by Peter McCollum in 1872. Its façade still closely resembles the original design. This Carpenter Gothic Cottage was the year round home of John Henry Benezet, a Cape May merchant and councilman. For over 50 years the house remained in the Benezet Family. It was named Linda Lee after Benezet's favorite granddaughter, who while a single lady was quite a fixture on the Cape May social scene. Around 1979, the Linda Lee was converted into a bed and breakfast and had been enthralling its guests ever since with its many amenities and authentic Victorian décor. The Linda Lee is one of three Cape May properties featured in America's Painted Ladies.

The full hot breakfast, served in the dining room each morning at 9AM, includes fruit and juice, accompanied by homemade breads and muffins, and a hot entrée. Afternoon tea, served between 4 & 5 PM, includes iced beverages during the hot months, and hot beverages during cold months, along with a sweet and savory snack.

Free on-site parking for small or mid-sized cars is available. In season, beach towels and sand chairs are provided for those who wish to enjoy the fine Cape May beaches. For the biking enthusiast, bicycles are provided (availability may be limited).
