Does it matter? Does contending for the scriptural principles considered in each individual chapter of this thesis, truly matter at all? Or is it better to “agree on the fundamentals”? Should not Christians simply be left to “agree to disagree” about “secondary things”?
It is an “argument” of laziness, indifference, and compromise. The express purpose of this thesis is to demonstrate that the modern church has wholly and utterly abandoned the essential “fundamentals” of the Christian faith. The “Jesus” of the modern Church is not the Lord Jesus Christ of the Bible. The doctrine of the modern professed Christian is the philosophy of Self and human divinity. People do not want hell; but neither do they want the “inconvenience” of holiness.
Does it matter? Well, permit me ask you ... does the eternal soul of a loved one matter to you? Does your own soul matter to you? Or are you willing to believe what is convenient; to contentedly join the majority, do what ‘feels right’, and hope that it will all “work out” in the end?
