- The Success of NASA Balloon
- A very particular flight have been tested from an idea of NASA in collaboration with National Science Foundation. The object in we are talking about is a super pressure balloon, which can be a new example of the age of high-altitude scientific research. This balloon has got a very elevate pressure, that may consent several experiments, with its single-cell and fully-sealed. A balloon of this kind has never flown before. Generally passengers fly at an altitude three or four times smaller: we may say that to explain where this particular instrument of new science goes in its trips. The senior scientist and researcher W. Vernon Jones, at NASA Headquarters hat declared: “I think this project is a great idea, that will led to a new capability for scientific ballooning based on a development of sound engineering”. He also spoke about the geniality of the team following the project. Besides, another advantage is the prize of this balloon and its use: it’s estimated less expensive than a normal satellite. The NASA balloons may be retrieved and launched again, so they can transform themselves into ideal research platforms, which will be situated in a very high altitude.
