Teters Floral Products was founded by H. Tiffin Teters in 1957 for the purpose of manufacturing and selling Memorial Day wreaths and sprays.
The Teters family had been in the nursery business in Bolivar since 1909 and had a retail flower shop since 1930. Teters had three employees and production was done in the basement of Tiffin's home.
While our roots are as a family owned business, we have been corporately owned since the mid 70's.
Teters Today
Today, Teters is a leading importer, assembler and distributor of artificial flowers to retailers throughout the U.S. with 960 employees.
Products include stem flowers, domestically assembled wreaths and sprays, bushes, vines, garlands, swags, foliage and other accessories.
Teters is the leading supplier to the discount mass merchandise segment. Chain craft stores are a rapidly expanding portion of Teters market. Variety stores are another outlet through which Teters products are sold. Chain drug stores and supermarkets offer additional opportunities for volume distribution.
On a smaller scale, independent craft, specialty stores and the independent retail florist offer additional outlets.
The Company selects and imports artificial flowers directly from over 45 suppliers in the Far East and then distributes product nationwide from two distribution centers located in Bolivar, Missouri and Louisville, Mississippi.
