Terry Hird Engines was established in 1977 to prepare a 1275 GT Mini Clubman for the British Touring Car Championship and was raced extensively during 1977 & 1978 seasons, including the support races for the British Grand Prix meetings. Cars were also prepared & raced in the National Mini Miglia Championship until 1982. Current racing activities include a Stock Rod Nova for Terry and SupaStox Engines for veteran racer Ken Edwards and Bill Edwards, 1999 Alwalton SupaStox points champion. Terry is also involved with raising funds and awareness for the charity 'Action for M.E'.
Terry Hird has had many years experience in the Motor Trade and has worked for many companies including Speedwell Performance Conversions and University Motors MG Dealers. The company moved to its present location in 1993, situated on Grovebury Road within the main industrial area of Leighton Buzzard, recently investing heavily in the latest state of art machinery.
