He is widely considered an expert in the entertainment community and in 1991 received the prestigious Special Events Gala Award for outstanding imagination and achievement in the field.
Ted’s life has been both prodigious and inspirational. Following his graduation from the University of Miami in 1975, he worked as a drummer and vocalist with a band. From there, he pioneered mobile disc jockeying for parties, and ‘Ted’s Disco on Wheels’ was born. He expanded into total event production as ‘Ted Fass Productions’ and in 1998 acquired Entertainment Unlimited.
Mr. Fass’ vision reaches far beyond the office. In 1997, Ted spearheaded the formation of the Long Island Bombers, a blind and visually impaired beep-baseball team. The LI Bombers is a 501 c(3) non-profit organization that is an affiliate of the National Beep Baseball Association. He is the Executive Director as well as an active participant of the team. The Bombers host instructional clinics and play both exhibition and competitive games against sighted and other visually impaired teams nationally. In 2004, Ted was honored by the Nassau County Sports Commission with the ‘Differently Abled Athlete’ award. This honor was bestowed upon Ted for his excellence in athletics and community service.
