Randy is a Film/Television Producer in Los Angeles. He attended the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan where he graduated from the Film department. Randy was always fascinated with skyscrapers, particularly the Twin Towers. His father worked there for years. His wife's cousin was injured in the 1993 truck bombing. And after seeing the destruction of the Twin Towers in person, obviously the events of September 11th have had a profound affect. He feels these issues goes far beyond the idea of whether to rebuild two skyscrapers or not. He feels this is a world issue and we as concerned citizens, need to grow our voices so that the world can hear us.
Robin grew up in Colorado and was a US Army paratrooper before earning degrees in journalism and political science. During the mid-1980s, he wrote counter-terrorism commentaries and book reviews for the Rand Corporation-based Terrorism, Violence and Insurgency Report. One focused on the world’s worst pre-911 terrorist attack: The June 1985 bombing of Air India Flight 182 by Sikh terrorists that killed 352 people. His conclusion: the airline reservation network had enough information to prevent the attack had the system been only marginally smarter. His recommendation: It wouldn't take much to make it smarter and "it would be crazy" not to do it. But it didn’t get done and, 15 years later, Robin woke up to smoking rubble piles where once had stood the world’s pre-eminent symbol of peace and freedom and ever since then he’s worked to see the Twin Towers rebuilt.
Dr. Sommers was born and raised in New York. He would like to see the new World Trade Center honor the people who lost their lives, make use of the space in a constructive way, and establish a new iconic vision that will last well into the 21st Century. After 9/11, he realized there was a lot more he was not experiencing and wanted to reach out and teach people what he had learned about the benefits of a raw food diet. His new book "The Raw Foods Bible" talks not only about raw foods, but also about the mental playing fields we all must go through to make it through this life.
