I'm a healer using the language of astrology to help people separate the vision in their hearts from the voices of doubt in their heads.
My interest in astrology began close to a decade ago, and I've always been interested in mythology, psychology and the other disciplines that draw from and inform astrology. I came to serious study of it two and a half years ago specifically via the enticing words of a friend ("Blah blah blah, Saturn return, blah blah...."), which seemed to stir something more like memory than interest.
I began to read nearly everything about astrology I could find. After a few months of reading, I found myself disappointed with the fatalism of much of the traditional astrological literature, and with the idea underlying and implicit in it that things happen to us and that we don't have choice and maybe shouldn't take responsibility for our lives. The idea that I'd found a marvelous tool to help put the sometimes unseen aspects of people's lives in perspective in order to help them was clear, and I was starting to become disheartened that I wasn't finding work supporting this idea. "Each of us has choice - in every moment," I kept thinking.
