Heath and Tracy Taylor have been in the horse business in some aspect almost all of their lives. Heath graduated High school with Honors and then attended The University of Louisville. After earning a degree in Equine Administration as the senior of the year at the University of Louisville, he then served as the Director of Racing for the Texas Quarter Horse Association.
In less than ten years as a full time trainer Heath has enjoyed multiple success' and is currently second leading trainer in the nation. The Taylor team has won 11 stakes races in 2003 alone. Four of these came in one incredible weekend. The Firecracker Fut. and Derby, the Virgil Bond Hdcp and the richest Futurity of the Delta Downs meet, the Lee Burwick Memorial Futurity. More horses on his list of conditionees are "Femmes Frolic", who qualified for the $400,000 Champion of Champions. "Ima Killer Yawl", Winner of the Grade I Breeders Classic Distaff. Trainer Don Mourning also entrusted them with the care of "SLM Big Daddy" 2-time World Champion and winner of the Champion of Champions two years in a row.
Tracy Taylor, Heath's wife and Assistant Trainer also comes from a racing family. Tracy helped her father, Bruce Bell, break "Femmes Frolic" as a Yearling among multiple winners of over $100,000 each. Bruce was also the trainer of Champion "Deceptively" and he is currently conditioning the bulk of our yearling operation, which is based in Texas.
