Table & Vine is New England's premier fine wine, spirit and specialty foods merchant located in the heart of Massachusetts' beautiful Pioneer Valley. Table & Vine carries one of the world's largest wine selections with over five thousand five hundred wines in stock at all times. A wide range of Cognacs, Armagnacs, single malt whiskies, and a vast assortment of microbrews and imported lagers and ales are among the stores additional offerings.
Table & Vine was founded in 1962 in Northampton, Massachusetts as the Big Y Liquor Supermarket. Over the next thirty years, the store developed a reputation as one of America's finest resources for the fine wine connoisseur. Along the way, the store developed a serious microbrew department with over 500 beers represented. By 1995, fine wine was over half of the store's volume, and its working name was changed to Big Y Wines and Liquors.
In 1996, a small cheese case was added to complement the wines. The cheese and pate section developed a dedicated following. In 1998, it was expanded to a full gourmet cheese department stocking over 300 French, Spanish and Italian cheeses, along with a superb selection of cheeses from the British Isles and America. With the addition of an extensive gourmet grocery department (including Belgian and French chocolates, olives and appetizers, pastas and sauces, fine oils and vinegars, coffees, teas, cookies, fresh baked artisan breads and thousands of other delicacies) and New England's finest selection of prime meats and game, Table & Vine was born.
