Tablazon Kennels is nestled in the mountains just east of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Our dogs share in the pleasures of high-altitude (6800 ft.) living: spectacular views (the sunset photo above was taken from our front yard), mild climate, an abundance of sunshine, and hiking in a National Forest right from our doorstep. The name Tablazon comes from Tablazon Canyon adjacent to our neighborhood.
Facilities:
Tablazon Kennels will always be a small kennel. We will never have so many dogs that we cannot give each one the attention and training that they crave. Our dogs live in the house and play in the large, fenced backyard. A side yard holds jumps for obedience training. The area is hilly and wooded with pinon and juniper. Our neighborhood, with large lots of 1 to 5 acres, is quiet and dog-friendly. All dogs are kept in fenced areas and walked on leash. One of our favorite family activities is going for an evening walk with our 3 children and 5 dogs.
Our Alaskan Klee Kai dogs are bright, friendly, and inquisitive. They are not aggressive toward humans or other dogs. We carefully socialize our dogs to overcome the shyness that can be found in this breed. Since we have young children, our dogs are quite comfortable around energetic little ones.
