Wow! Sylvan Wood, Inc. manufactures these ornamental products that give a unique look and an attractive décor.
Durable and quality materials are used to produce our ornate shelf brackets, corbels, fascia, friezes, drapery/tapestry brackets, gingerbread and vergeboard trim. These items are made from multiply birch plywood, PVC or basswood. We use AZEK™ which is an expanded ridged PVC that won’t rot, cup, craze, weather split, delaminate, mildew or absorb water. It is bright white and does not require painting.
If the PVC is to be painted a pastel colored acrylic latex should be used. It may be nailed or screwed and is easily joined using PVC cement. This 5/8" thick PVC is well suited for exterior fascia, friezes, corbels, gingerbread and vergeboard trim. Multiply birch, 3/8" thick plywood is generally used for gingerbread and vergeboard trim in either interior or exterior applications when it is to be painted or finished naturally. Our corbels and shelf brackets are made from basswood, pine, poplar or PVC. Drapery/tapestry brackets are made from basswood. Some of our customers use our drapery brackets as tapestry brackets.
