About SW Seed
SW Seed Ltd. is the North American subsidiary of Svalöf Weibull AB. At SW we are responsible for breeding, trials, registration and licensing of our core crops: canola, peas, cereals and forages. We have over 100 varieties registered and marketed in Canada and the United States.
As a breeding company, our goal is to provide you with high-performing and well-adapted cultivars which will work well agronomically and economically on your farm, in your rotation, to keep you profitable.
SW is a strong supporter of Plant Breeders Rights. Our breeding programs are funded by royalty collection on certified seed sold. Plant Breeders Rights is insurance that North American farmers will see a continuation of development of new and better varieties by breeding companies such as SW, allowing North American agriculture to remain globally competitive.
