Survivalist Discussion Boards and Forum was founded with one simple idea, and that was to become the best Survival Forum on the internet.
The first website was built with a Content Management System (CMS) called MDPro and utilized MDForum. After a year, the site only had about 800 - 900 members. The owner, Kevin, then decided it was time for a change.
In March of 2007 the site was closed, and reopened in April of 2007. But this time the forum used the VBulletin forum software instead of the MDPro CMS. After the site was reopened, a youtube account was created with the same name as the forum - SurvivalistBoards.

In October 2009, Survivalist Boards broke the 1 million post mark.
As of October 2008, the Survivalistboards forums gets over 1.8 million page views monthly, and is averaging about 40,000 post a month.
Kevin, the owner of Survivalistboards is married to Kristy and together they have 8 children. Kevin has 4 children by a previous marriage, and Kristy has 4 children by a previous marriage.
In January of 1968, Kevin was born in Kirbyville, Texas. His parents moved to Bridge City, Texas in 1978 where they still live to this day. In October of 2000, Kevin and his wife of 14 years separated and later divorced. Even though Kevin is divorced from the mother of his children he still takes an active roll in their life.
