Studio One Networks was founded in 1997 by two pioneers of distributed programming: Bob Blackmore, formerly Executive Vice President of Sales at NBC, who was an early proponent of broadcast syndication; and Andrew Susman, formerly Marketing Director and Director of Business Development for Time Inc. New Media, where he launched the first sponsored programming on the Internet.
Mr. Blackmore is the former Executive Vice President of the NBC Television Network. He was for over a dozen years responsible for all sales and marketing. He also helped introduce CNBC sales domestically and NBC Super Channel Sales internationally.
He started in broadcasting as a page and sales service representative for CBS in Hollywood. After experience in television sales and at an advertising agency, he joined the NBC Film Division where he managed offices in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Chicago.
