- LLC was founded by Peter Thoeny and Dan Woods who strongly believe that intelligent use of wikis can improve productivity and efficiency in most organizations. The idea for StructuredWikis germinated when Peter and Dan worked together on an upcoming book: Wikis for the Workplace, which is expected to be published by Addison Wesley in 2006. Peter, who founded TWiki.org, one of the most popular open source wikis, and Dan, a seasoned CTO and author who has used wikis for years for software development and writing books, realized that by joining forces they could accelerate the progress of other organizations in taking advantage of all of the benefits wikis create when used properly. And so, in December, 2005, StructuredWikis LLC was born.
