- In 1969 the Strasburg Area Woman's Club saw a need for a local Library and the Strasburg Reading Center opened its doors. From a single room in the former Lutheran Manse stocked with donated books to our current home has been an exciting journey. Each stage of our expansion has been supported by a generous community and by individuals dedicated to the betterment of Strasburg. The Strasburg Area Woman's Club has been joined by other local service organizations in providing annual financial support.
