- Stern & Faye, Printers is a letterpress print shop, type foundry & handbindery operated by C. Christopher Stern & Jules Remedios Faye. We also operate two other imprints under the same roof. Chris established the Grey Spider Press imprint in 1986 & Jules began the Street of Crocodiles Letterpress Printery in 1990. Originally these were separate letterpress publishing ventures with unique visions. In 1994 we moved from Seattle to the Skagit Valley, combined our print shops, mingled our dingbats & together we now produce commission books, job work & ephemera as Stern & Faye, Printers. We still publish limited edition fine press books under both imprints. But we work as Stern & Faye, Printers for the commercial printing, binding & graphic design work that we offer.
