Description
STATS is an independent consultancy practice with allied investigation, testing, monitoring and inspection services, which specialises in the environment, ground engineering, materials used in construction and built structures.
The company employs around 100 professional and technical staff at its main offices in St Albans and Coventry, together with contingents of site-based engineers, technicians and inspectors.
STATS was formed under the title of St Albans Testing Services in 1974 by John Glanville, a civil engineer and specialist in forensic investigation and expert witness work. At its outset STATS was primarily involved in undertaking structural investigations and associated materials consultancy and testing, which essentially complemented the traditional skills of the Architect, Consulting Engineer and Surveyor.
