Welcome to startplane, a website dedicated to bringing you the latest news stories that you want to hear about. We're a new breed of open democratic news services that allow you, the user, to decide what news stories to publish and talk about. Sign up today and submit your own links to news stories that you think others would like to read. Then recommend and discuss the stories that you find interesting. When you recommend a story by clicking the "recommend" link, you are voting to give that story higher placement on the site and thus more exposure. Because we're so new there may be some features we left out or bugs we haven't found, so by all means let us know how we can improve by leaving a comment!
P.S. We use a new way of organizing data called "tagging". When you submit a story please use a few descriptive keywords (3-5 is usually enough) to classify your story. This will allow others to easily find the news stories they are looking for.
