- Stargazer's Kennels, located in rural Iowa, is the formal name for our hobby and the culmination of our dreams and ambitions. We raise Golden Retrievers and Australian Cattle Dogs, for performance and companions on our 240 acres. We are near what is known as the “Top of Iowa”, a short drive from Minneapolis, Minnesota or Des Moines, Iowa. Our Golden Retrievers and Australian Cattle dogs are primarily members of our family and our household. If you know us or our dogs, you might be amused by the word Kennels being part of our name. Our family of Goldens and ACD's spend the majority of their time in our home, in the pool, or frolicking in the shady groves of lush green Iowa grass while the cattle, sheep, horses and ducks watch with interest. They accompany us out and about on a daily basis and look forward to our frequent trips back to Ohio where I grew up.
