The Strategic Research Center (SRC) is an independent, non-governmental, not-for-profit institute for public policy research and development established in 1991. Since then SRC has provided analytical support and consultancy to Georgian governmental and civic insti­tu­tions, as well as to international organizations on broad issues of public policy; SRC provi­des training and capacity building in policy research/development/manage­ment. SRC has developed policy recommend­ati­ons for many Georgian administrative structures, such as the State Chancellery, the Parlia­ment of Georgia, regional governments, practically all ministries, and civil society institutions as well. The ranges of SRC clients are from the provincial commu­nity-based organizations up to the President of Georgia. This reach experience is gained in the deep knowledge of the specifics of the national political culture, its strengths and weaknesses at all stages of policy processes and at central, regional and local levels. One of the most valuable assets of SRC is the comprehensive network of local intellectuals, the professional from different fields, who were involved in the projects con­ducted by SRC; their competent expert judgment crea­tes the fundamental know­ledge basis about the substantiality of the policy issues under in­­vestigation.

Mission of the SRC is to contribute for strengthening the culture of political thinking in Georgia and to support analytically the processes of building a new system of social order and sovereign state­hood in the country
