The Strategic Research Center (SRC) is an independent, non-governmental, not-for-profit institute for public policy research and development established in 1991. Since then SRC has provided analytical support and consultancy to Georgian governmental and civic institutions, as well as to international organizations on broad issues of public policy; SRC provides training and capacity building in policy research/development/management. SRC has developed policy recommendations for many Georgian administrative structures, such as the State Chancellery, the Parliament of Georgia, regional governments, practically all ministries, and civil society institutions as well. The ranges of SRC clients are from the provincial community-based organizations up to the President of Georgia. This reach experience is gained in the deep knowledge of the specifics of the national political culture, its strengths and weaknesses at all stages of policy processes and at central, regional and local levels. One of the most valuable assets of SRC is the comprehensive network of local intellectuals, the professional from different fields, who were involved in the projects conducted by SRC; their competent expert judgment creates the fundamental knowledge basis about the substantiality of the policy issues under investigation.
