SquashBugs and FightFires (November 16-30)
What (summary)
Collect and fix all bugs and feature tweaks that are currently on the minds of our people. When bugs or feature tweaks are too big, create a Task for prioritization during the current Iteration.
Why this is important
We need to improve our quality. Bugs tend to breed. We need to help out our community when urgent issues arise.

AboutUsBugs has been audited and items on it have been answered (including whether it is on the QuickFix list or needs a task) - BugSquashing and FireFighting (November 1-15) has been audited and all items that aren't yet done have been moved from it to here (or discarded if appropriate)
- During the iteration, all urgent requests for the DevelopmentTeam and all items on the AboutUsBugs were swiftly moved onto either the QuickFix or Needs a Task sections of this page.
- All items in "QuickFix" are DoneDone
- All items in "Needs a Task" have a properly initialized task and include a reasonable "What (summary)" section

- Why does the site die when one of the db servers become unresponsive? This is especially strange because it is fine if just MySQL goes kaput.
- The community team is no longer able to view 5000 recent changes ... this is true in both skins
- Need to remove the Ads by Google from pages that wouldn't be crawled by Google (for example search results) and edit pages

- answered the changes to the aboutusbugs
- crossed off items that were DOneDOne throughout the previous iteration
- Spent some time trying to make the Intersect tags work. Apprarently the behavior of the Intersect tags is different locally than on the live site. For instance, when I try to create the categories "themostuseless" and "theleastuseless" on the live site, it works fine, but id doesnt locally. THis is because for the local version to work, the categories sent should be "Themostuseless" and "Theleastuseless". Why should this be so, especially as I have the latest versions of aboutus and compost both?
- Today would be a good day if:
- I learn something new about git
- I figure out the bug with the intersect, or at least figure out why the casespace is causing a problem locally
- I resolve a bug

- looked at the intersect tool, couldn't figure out why the local version worked differently as far as casespace is concerned than the one deployed live. Started looking at article save hooks and all to figure out
- thought that uberpatrol had an error, but later discovered it was not so. However, spent quite some time looking at the uberpatrol. Couldnt resolve why the local aboutus dint show any pages to patrol
