About Us
SP18 initially is the name of a rented rooms house in Grogol, Jakarta Barat. This house has been a rented one since 1968 and owned and managed by Soegeng Poesoro couple. Mostly the students who rent the house is students from Universitas Trisakti but later on it also had some Universitas Tarumanagara’s students.
In 1999, some students there decided to establish a chatting channel in the IRC to socialize and have more friends from all over Internet chat society. Never been thought before that this channel become bigger and bigger until the number of members reached one hundred or something.
The founder Wisnu Brata Airlangga, Eko Wahyudi, Erwin Kodiat and Oei Kiem Gwan decided to build a web site that will help each members gather more information about activities and other members detail. The number of member has grown and grown up to more than 200 at that time the web site built.
