Description
The picture shows a very happy lady with two beautiful little yearling Icelandic fillies. This was the first time I had even seen an Icelandic and they belonged to me. I called them my mail order horses.
About a month before the picture was taken I had picked up a magazine with a picture of an Icelandic on the cover. I read the story that went with the cover and talked to my husband about them. He in turn read the story and told me were nice but not to bother to call about them as they would be too expensive.
I had to know more so I did make that call. The writer of the story was a trainer and agent for several farms. She answered my questions and made sure I knew how to care for a horse. It was true I could not afford a grown trained horse at that time but she knew of two fillies that I could afford.
