This web site is for ex-Furness people who like to keep in touch with the area and to be able to view photos of the ever-changing state of the area. This site is NOT a tourist guide nor is it meant to be. The site was born on 10th September 1997 as a basic site with only 3 pages which has now significantly grown and hopefully will continue to do so.
This site is hosted by Bill Clark and gives a lot of information about Barrow In Furness and the surrounding areas just by selecting any of the links in the drop down menus that appear on most pages. (If a drop down menu doesn`t appear near the top of any page then use your back button on your browser.) There are lots of photos of the Furness area which are kept up to date keeping you informed of the changing state of the area over the years. You are advised to navigate the site by selecting each link in turn and thereafter either pressing the back button on your browser or selecting a new link.
